Enter the query into the form above. You can look for specific version of a package by using @ symbol like this: gcc@10.
API method:
GET /api/packages?search=hello&page=1&limit=20
where search is your query, page is a page number and limit is a number of items on a single page. Pagination information (such as a number of pages and etc) is returned
in response headers.

bzip2 is a freely available, patent free (see below), high-quality data compressor. It typically compresses files to within 10% to 15% of the best available techniques (the PPM family of statistical compressors), whilst being around twice as fast at compression and six times faster at decompression.
QPACK is the compression mechanism used by HTTP/3 to compress HTTP headers. It's based on specification QPACK Internet-Draft.
Zip is a compression and file packaging/archive utility. Zip is useful for packaging a set of files for distribution, for archiving files, and for saving disk space by temporarily compressing unused files or directories. Zip puts one or more compressed files into a single ZIP archive, along with information about the files (name, path, date, time of last modification, protection, and check information to verify file integrity). An entire directory structure can be packed into a ZIP archive with a single command.
Zip has one compression method (deflation) and can also store files without compression. Zip automatically chooses the better of the two for each file. Compression ratios of 2:1 to 3:1 are common for text files.
LibLZF is a very small data compression library. It consists of only two .c and two .h files and is very easy to incorporate into your own programs. The compression algorithm is very, very fast, yet still written in portable C.
Last not least, it is freely usable, unlike most other compression libraries which are under the GPL, this library uses a BSD-type license, so you can include it in your programs without worrying.
Lzop is a file compressor which is very similar to gzip. Lzop uses the LZO data compression library for compression services, and its main advantages over gzip are much higher compression and decompression speed (at the cost of some compression ratio).
LZO is a data compression library which is suitable for data de-/compression in real-time. This means it favours speed over compression ratio.
LZO is written in ANSI C. Both the source code and the compressed data format are designed to be portable across platforms.
CBOR is a data format whose design goals include the possibility of extremely small code size, fairly small message size, and extensibility without the need for version negotiation. These design goals make it different from earlier binary serializations such as ASN.1 and MessagePack.
zlib is designed to be a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered -- that is, not covered by any patents -- lossless data-compression library for use on virtually any computer hardware and operating system. The zlib data format is itself portable across platforms. Unlike the LZW compression method used in Unix compress(1) and in the GIF image format, the compression method currently used in zlib essentially never expands the data. (LZW can double or triple the file size in extreme cases.) zlib's memory footprint is also independent of the input data and can be reduced, if necessary, at some cost in compression.
The purpose of libmspack is to provide both compression and decompression of some loosely related file formats used by Microsoft.
Squashfs is a highly compressed read-only file system for Linux. It compresses files, inodes, and directories with one of several compressors. All blocks are packed to minimize the data overhead, and block sizes of between 4K and 1M are supported. It is intended to be used for archival use, for live media, and for embedded systems where low overhead is needed.
The squashfs-tools-ng package offers alternative tooling to create and extract such file systems. It is not based on the older squashfs-tools package and its tools have different names:
gensquashfsproduces SquashFS images from a directory orgen_init_cpio-like file listings and can generate SELinux labels.rdsquashfsinspects and unpacks SquashFS images.sqfs2tarandtar2sqfsconvert between SquashFS and tarballs.sqfsdiffcompares the contents of two SquashFS images.
These commands are largely command-line wrappers around the included libsquashfs library that intends to make SquashFS available to other applications as an embeddable, extensible archive format.
Both the library and tools operate deterministically: same input will produce byte-for-byte identical output.
This package provides a script to unpack self-extracting archives generated by makeself or mojo without running the possibly untrusted extraction shell script.
zlib-ng is a zlib replacement with optimizations for next generation systems.
GNU sharutils is a package for creating and manipulating shell archives that can be readily emailed. A shell archive is a file that can be processed by a Bourne-type shell to unpack the original collection of files. This package is mostly for compatibility and historical interest.
SfArk extractor converts SoundFonts in the compressed legacy sfArk file format to the uncompressed sf2 format.
lbzip2 is a multi-threaded compression utility with support for the bzip2 compressed file format. lbzip2 can process standard bz2 files in parallel. It uses POSIX threading model (pthreads), which allows it to take full advantage of symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) systems. It has been proven to scale linearly, even to over one hundred processor cores. lbzip2 is fully compatible with bzip2 – both at file format and command line level.
unshield is a tool and library for extracting .cab archives from InstallShield installers.
Ziptime helps make .zip archives reproducible by replacing timestamps in the file header with a fixed time (1 January 2008).
``Extra fields'' are not changed, so you'll need to use the -X option to zip to prevent it from storing the ``universal time'' field.
Libdeflate is a library for fast, whole-buffer DEFLATE-based compression and decompression. The supported formats are:
DEFLATE (raw)
zlib (a.k.a. DEFLATE with a zlib wrapper)
gzip (a.k.a. DEFLATE with a gzip wrapper)
Libzip is a C library for reading, creating, and modifying zip archives. Files can be added from data buffers, files, or compressed data copied directly from other zip archives. Changes made without closing the archive can be reverted.
(N)compress provides the original compress and uncompress programs that used to be the de facto UNIX standard for compressing and uncompressing files. These programs implement a fast, simple Lempel-Ziv (LZW) file compression algorithm.
Extracts files out of Microsoft Cabinet (.cab) archives
QATzip is a library which builds on top of the Intel QuickAssist Technology user space library, to provide extended accelerated compression and decompression services by offloading the actual compression and decompression request(s) to the Intel Chipset Series. QATzip produces data using the standard gzip format (RFC1952) with extended headers or lz4 blocks with lz4 frame format. The data can be decompressed with a compliant gzip or lz4 implementation. QATzip is designed to take full advantage of the performance provided by Intel QuickAssist Technology.
Lhasa is a replacement for the Unix LHa tool, for decompressing .lzh (LHA / LHarc) and .lzs (LArc) archives. The backend for the tool is a library, so that it can be reused for other purposes. Lhasa aims to be compatible with as many types of .lzh/lzs archives as possible. It also aims to generate the same output as the (non-free) Unix lha tool, so that it will act as a free drop-in replacement.
Xarchiver is a front-end to various command line archiving tools. It uses GTK+ tool-kit and is designed to be desktop-environment independent. Supported formats are 7z, ARJ, bzip2, gzip, LHA, lzma, lzop, RAR, RPM, DEB, tar, and ZIP. It cannot perform functions for archives, whose archiver is not installed.
