The lxml XML toolkit is a Pythonic binding for the C libraries libxml2 and libxslt.
This package provides a Cleaner for cleaning up HTML pages. It supports removing embedded or script content, special tags and CSS style annotations among other features. Its main purpose is removing superfluous content, it is not appropriate for security sensitive environments.
YAWriter implements Yet Another XML::Handler::Writer. It provides a flexible escaping technique and pretty printing.

pugixml is a C++ XML processing library, which consists of a DOM-like interface with rich traversal/modification capabilities, a fast XML parser which constructs the DOM tree from an XML file/buffer, and an XPath 1.0 implementation for complex data-driven tree queries. Full Unicode support is also available, with Unicode interface variants and conversions between different Unicode encodings which happen automatically during parsing/saving.
OpenJade is an implementation of Document Style Semantics and Specification Language (DSSSL), a style language to format SGML or XML documents. It contains backends for various formats such as RTF, HTML, TeX, MIF, SGML2SGML, and FOT.
PyXB-X ("pixbix") is a pure Python package that generates Python source code for classes that correspond to data structures defined by XMLSchema.
XML::SAX consists of several framework classes for using and building Perl SAX2 XML parsers, filters, and drivers.
untangle is a tiny Python library which converts an XML document to a Python object.
The XCB util module provides a number of libraries which sit on top of libxcb, the core X protocol library, and some of the extension libraries. These experimental libraries provide convenience functions and interfaces which make the raw X protocol more usable. Some of the libraries also provide client-side code which is not strictly part of the X protocol but which has traditionally been provided by Xlib.

X11 replacement for the text util dialog Xdialog is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the dialog and cdialog programs. It converts any terminal-based program into a program with an X interface. The dialogs are easier to see and use, and Xdialog adds more functionality such as a help button and box, a treeview, an editbox, file and directory selectors, a range box, and a calendar. It uses GTK+, and will match your desktop theme.
libXfont provides the core of the legacy X11 font system, handling the index files (fonts.dir, fonts.alias, fonts.scale), the various font file formats, and rasterizing them. It is used by the X servers, the X Font Server (xfs), and some font utilities (bdftopcf for instance), but should not be used by normal X11 clients. X11 clients access fonts via either the new API's in libXft, or the legacy API's in libX11.
